On Saturday, September 14th, the local Space Coast Region Porsche Club of America held their Street Survival event. According to their website, "The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them." The PCA members managed the event, and we appreciate their attention to detail to make this a safe and fun event.
Twenty-seven students participated in this all-day class, which was a mix of in-car instruction and classwork inside the museum's maintenance shop. Overall, it was an excellent day of class, with everyone safely learning the limits of their car, even with the heavy rains. Thanks to everyone involved, including the Space Coast PCA, who made this class possible! Here is a look at the first Street Survival event at the AMCM.
