The AMCM is participating in another Amelia. This Concours event is taking place today at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, and the Museum brought our 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Mustang Convertible. Our car is in Royal Maroon with a Saddle Tan interior, and in competing in the Sports Car 3 class.
An impressive collection of cars from around the world gathered at Amelia Island this year, with around 250 participants competing over 32 classes. Jeff Gordon was selected as the Honoree this year and was on hand for a panel discussion with NASCAR Hall of Fame Crew Chief Ray Evernham. While the museum didn't win an award, being part of such an amazing automotive event was an honor, and we hope to return next year. Here is a look at what else was in attendance for the Concours.
