Veterans Day Free Open House 2019
To honor our Veterans and Active Duty Military, the museum hosts an annual Free Veterans Day Open House. Our 3rd annual Open House was held on November 10th, 2019 and several thousand Veterans, Active Duty, and their families came to enjoy the collection and have a chance at winning some great prizes. Many people and businesses collaborated to make this our best event yet. Here is a look at the Open House and everything that went on.
Our sponsors were tremendous. Audi of Melbourne gave away a two-year prepaid lease on a new Audi A3 to one lucky active duty member. 303/Gold Eagle gave us enough products that every who attended could sample their great product. Intracoastal Brewing Company stepped up in a big way, bringing their great local beer for everyone to enjoy free of charge. Space Coast Harley Davidson was in attendance with giveaways and more adult beverages. We could go on and on about those who contributed, and we can't thank them enough.
A Mother's Touch Movers collected toys for the His Place Ministries Toy Drive. Over 600 toys were collected thanks to all of you! Over $1500 in tips were collected from our beverage stations and add in several other contributions and over $12,000 were raised for the Toy Drive!
Next year, our Free Veterans Day Open House will be held on Sunday, November 8th. As always, check our website for more details on all upcoming events. Thanks again to everyone who made this event such a success.
