The Keep the Light Shining fundraiser was held here on Saturday night from 5-9PM The purpose was to raise money for the 151-year-old Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. VIPs were given early access, stone crab claws, and a champagne toast. This was followed by a tour of the museum with AMCM's owner Mark Pieloch. General admission started at 6PM.
After addressing the group, we had a five-item live auction. All items found a new home and helped raise even more money to support the lighthouse. There was a four-night cruise, four tickets to the Cocoa Beach Playhouse including lunch at Cafe Margaux, a K-9 experience ridealong with the Brevard County Sheriff's Department, and four tickets to Kennedy Space Center with a two-night stay to the Homestay Suites. Great items!
Huge thanks to Wild Ocean Seafood Market. They brought an impressive spread of food including seafood pigs in a blanket, local wild shrimp cocktail, pork and pineapple slaw sliders, among many other tasty treats. They were a big hit! For more info on them, check out: wildoceanmarket.com
