The 2nd Annual Brevard Public Schools car show took place this past Saturday, April 6th, here at the museum. Proceeds from this show went to benefit the students of the automotive programs of seven area high schools. These high schools are from Satellite, Eau Gallie, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Heritage, Titusville, and Cocoa.
Over 100 cars attended with many winning a variety of student-made trophies out of repurposed car parts. The event got started at 9AM, with judging starting a Noon, and the awards presentation at 2PM. There were several classes and many great student-made trophies to pass out.
This album contains a photo of each of the winners, the FIT rocket car, the student made trophies, and a look at the cars in the show field.
Overall, the event was a success. The weather was perfect and the museum's front showroom was open for guests to cool off a great a taste of the collection. Food and drinks were covered by the Satellite Beach Lion's Club and the food was excellent. Many people won tools, automotive products, and gift cards to local business in the raffle. We look forward to having them back next spring and continuing the annual tradition of supporting local automotive programs.
