Video Description

During our trip to Minnesota to participate in the 40th Mopars In The Park, we took the chance to check out the Chrysler Garage in Isanti, a small town about one hour north of Minneapolis. The collection is housed in an old dealership along the main street of the town. It was built as a car dealership in 1918 and was a Willy's dealership when Walter Chrysler was the head of the Willy’s Corporation. Over the years, it was a dealership for several brands, lastly for GMC several decades ago. The new owner purchased the building in 2014 and opened it to the public in July 2018. The cars range from 1924 to 1948, and over a dozen Chrysler vehicles are on display, along with tons of promotional materials, signage, and neon signs from the brand. All of the cars are in running condition and are started every few months. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and spent an hour chatting with Joel, who knew tons about the brand and the vehicles in the collection. We appreciate him taking the time to review the collection and answer questions. The museum is open to the public from 1-5 PM Thursday-Sunday and is well worth stopping in for fans of the brand and pre-WWII vehicles.
