Video Description

In 1978, the Chevrolet Corvette was selected as the Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500 for the first time in the model's history. Like the Silver Anniversary car, the Pace Car sported a two-tone paint job, a black over silver metallic with a bright red pinstripe. Engines available were either the L48 350 V8 making 185 horsepower or the L82 350 V8 making 220 horsepower, for only $525 more. The two types of four-speed manuals or a 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic were the transmissions available. This was a popular Pace Car with over 6,500 produced.

In this video, Ed Dedick covers our example of this popular Pace Car. This Corvette sports the L48 V8 engine paired with the three-speed automatic. It is an outstanding example and has only 75 original miles. Check out the video for more.
