1971 Mercury Cougar XR7

Today we take a closer look at the 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7. This was the first year for the second-generation Cougar, replacing the original that started in 1967. This new car was longer, more luxurious, and featured the largest engines offered by Ford/Lincoln/Mercury.
