To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Shelby GT350, Ford decided to release an ultra-specific 137-car production run. The first 100 cars to be produced were split 50/50, one half of them being produced with the Technology Pack and featuring Ford’s industry-leading Sync 3 infotainment system. The other half was scheduled for production with the Track Package and fitted with magnetic dampers, additional cooling systems and a strut tower brace. The remaining 37 cars were Shelby GT350R’s that were produced in a run of 37 to honor the 35 original GT350s and two prototypes produced by Shelby in 1965. All these commemorative Shelbys were given a specific 2015 VIN destined to be the envy of Shelby collectors everywhere. This 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Anniversary edition is one of 50 produced with the Track Package and is one of 10 to be draped in this color combination. Avalanche Gray with white accented by black stripes is a very rare but beautiful color combination and is highlighted by a black roof which was only applied to four cars. Ebony Recaro racing seats keep the driver in place while the suede-wrapped steering wheel with Shelby Cobra badging executes his demands. Though the car has been outfitted with the Track Package, it still boasts many creature comforts, including power windows and door locks, air conditioning, radio and cruise control. This GT350 Mustang is arguably the best-performing production Mustang of all time. The 5.2L Ti-VCT V-8 was the most powerful naturally aspirated production engine ever made by Ford, its flat-plane crankshaft enabling the high revs needed to generate 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, delivered in rapid fashion through a 6-speed manual transmission with a console-mounted shifter. The performance of the car is the sum of a perfect equation and includes independent suspension and tuned front springs, MagnaRide dampening system, strut tower brace and huge Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes. Engine oil, transmission and differential fluid coolers help keep the whole system running at peak performance during high-performance driving, and the car rides on painted black aluminum wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. This Shelby, which only has 30 miles on the odometer, is No. 114 of 137 produced and rolled out of the Flat Rock, Michigan, assembly plant.
